Manly Sea Eagles' highly-rated captain Matt Orford has joined Bradford Bulls on a three-year contract, it has been announced. The 31-year-old scrum-half, who led Manly to the NRL title last season along with the World Club Challenge against Leeds earlier this year, is regarded as one of the game's top talents. And he will make his debut in Super League next season when he joins the swelling ranks of Australian stars at Odsal, along with fellow recent signings Glen Hall, Heath L'Estrange and Brett Kear

The start of the new season can't come soon enough for Bradford Bulls. Super League starts earlier than ever next year but that suits Bulls chief Steve McNamara just fine. The campaign opens when Crusaders face Leeds Rhinos at Wrexham's Racecourse Ground on January 29, while Bradford kick off a week later.  

TWO former Giants employees are in the running for the job of England coach. Among the names already being linked with the position are former Huddersfield coach John Kear and ex-club skipper Steve McNamara, along with ex-national coach Ellery Hanley, while ex-Australia coach Wayne Bennett could be a contender if the net is spread worldwide. Also in the frame is England RU defence coach Mike Ford, but another approach for Wales rugby union defence coach Shaun Edwards is unlikely to be any more success

England are set to revert to a full-time head coach following the decision of Tony Smith to step down from the role and Bulls boss and current England No 2 Steve McNamara is one of the obvious candidates to replace him.
